KSKJ St. Francis Lodge #29 and the Croatian Cultural Club will be hosting a Slovenians versus Croatians bean bag tournament on Saturday, August 18, 2012. Proceeds will benefit the Joliet Area Community Hospice. If you aren’t Slovenian or Croatian, you can be one for the day — all you need to do is choose which team you would like to play with — Team Slovenian or Team Croatia. The tournament will be a blind draw (no pre-determined partners) and you must be 21 years or older to participate. The day’s festivities will be held at the Croatian Cultural Club, 1503 Clement Street in Joliet.
Registration Fee before August 11 is $10.00 per person, after August 11 the fee will be $15.00 per person. If you don’t pre-register, you can register on the day of the tournament from 11:00 a.m. until noon. The tournament will begin at 1:00 p.m.
If you prefer not to participate in the tournament, we hope that you will still come to the Club and enjoy a fun-filled day. Sandwiches and refreshments will be available for purchase. There will be music the entire day starting at 1:00 p.m. (bands are still being scheduled). Harvest Moon will play from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. This event will happen rain or shine. If it rains, the music will be moved indoors and we will have a 50/50 raffle with all the tournament entry fees.
